Hello and Welcome!!   Please take a few minutes to read about us and our goals and then feel free to clik on the buttons at the bottom of the page to view some of the Companions/Dogs in need of your help and/or adoption.   We are a Group that is dedicated in rescuing and placing Companions into adoptive homes.  We are in hopes of improving the quality of Companions through rescue, adoption and education to the best of our ability..  We hope to aide in the support of stricter enforcement against animal cruelty.   We have been rescuing homeless and unwanted pets and providing shelter to as many Companions as we can.  We have been seeking for potential adopters and have been working with other rescue groups, that have helped place some of our Companions into new homes.   We have been working with other Rescue Groups located in northern & southern Fla., all of Al. and some parts of Ga. and Miss.   In doing this we are able to contact other rescue groups that assist in finding homes and aide in transporting Companions to permanent adoptive homes.   We consider ourselves a NO KILL Group/Shelter. This means that once we rescue a Companion, he/she will stay sheltered for the rest of their lives. They will be treated for any injuries, bathed, fed, housed and spayed/neutered, along with receiving up to date shots and being checked for Heartworms.  If a dog is positive then we do what is in our power to get them treated. It is dangerous, but in most cases can be cured and then placed on meds to help prevent future infestation.   We list the Companions in our site here and on Petfinder.com with hopes of finding some great new homes.    Our group is not funded by any companies or persons, except from our own pockets and what we can acquire from yard sales..      We accept any donations of monies or items to use in our yard sales. We are 501(c)(3), tax exempt status. ALL ITEMS AND MONIES ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!    We appreciate any and all help we get to help our ongoing strife in helping those who cannot speak for themselves.

Special Note: ADMIRALS ANTIQUES is allowing us to place items in their store to sell for our companions. Please take the time to go visit them and take a look at some of the items. NOTE:   We do not ship Companions.  We do work with other rescue groups/volunteer transporters and can sometimes get transport for our rescues.  Sometimes it is not possible to find Volunteers and we might be able to transport your new Companion, if  you the Adopter can help with  Fuel expenses. You the Adopter are more than welcome to come get your companion.   We do have Adoption & Reference forms, we like to do inhome checks to make sure all requests are reliable, and we do have a small adoption fee that covers the vet bills, only. All other care is paid  by us, Lil' Tykes Rescue & Adoption.   PLEASE!! Remember that to adopt a Companion is to adopt a friend for life. Treat them as so and provide them with proper protection and housing.
